The rain taps on my window,
asking me about you,
I stay quiet,
my lips pursed tightly,
my hands clasped in my lap,
trying to keep a straight face,
keeping those tears inside,
so hard it was,
but I had to pull through,
the rain kept pouring,
the pain radiating,
I couldn't let my head sink low...
I had to hold this weight up,
keep myself from sinking,
into this quagmire,
so wrongly called love.
my lips pursed tightly,
my hands clasped in my lap,
trying to keep a straight face,
keeping those tears inside,
so hard it was,
but I had to pull through,
the rain kept pouring,
the pain radiating,
I couldn't let my head sink low...
I had to hold this weight up,
keep myself from sinking,
into this quagmire,
so wrongly called love.
